The Office of the Legislative Counsel (OLC) in Belfast, Northern Ireland is seeking to recruit more senior drafters (Grade 5 Legislative Counsel). The work in OLC is highly rewarding, with senior drafters having substantial autonomy in delivering Bills.
OLC offers an attractive balance between home and office days, and remote working arrangements will be considered if you live somewhere neighbouring Northern Ireland and you are not able to relocate to or near Belfast. Belfast is a modern and forward-looking city which offers a high quality of life and relatively low living costs, together with good public services and wide-ranging social amenities to be enjoyed alongside your work.
The salary for the post (full-time) is within the range £79,237 - £88,908 (under review). For suitably experienced candidates, salaries towards the top end of the pay scale are available. A special allowance in the range of £20,000 to £30,000 is also payable so as to recognise the exceptional and scarce nature of the skills and experience required for the post.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon (UK time) on Wednesday 6th November 2024. Further details are available on the CALC website, where the link to the Northern Ireland Civil Service recruitment website can be found embedded in the job advert.
